Generic Dapoxetine
For men who have tried to last longer in bed and just haven’t seemed to have any success there is now a product named Priligy that is promising just that, the ability to delay ones ejaculation time. What originally was being developed as an antidepressant, Priligy (generic priligy is dapoxetine) was found not to be an ideal medication to help with depression due to its short half life, but further research indicated that it held much potential to help with premature ejaculation. So dapoxetine had a second lease of life and instead of being discarded for good, was studied extensively for this common male issue.
Unfortunately premature ejaculation (PE) can affect up to 1/3 of men at some point in their life. Some men have found some success with this problem by implementing various exercises and relaxation techniques. Other men who struggle with PE either have not found much success with these practices and are looking for other ways to help them out. This is where Priligy / Dapoxetine is starting to provide hope for these individuals. In clinical studies involving men who have PE issues, it was found that many men where lasting upwards of three times as long as before. For men and their partners this was considered very successful. Each man had various time increases, some more than others but overall a satisfying increased time.
Priligy is available in many countries and is become accepted in more as time goes on. Some of the countries where it has been approved for use are Germany, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Italy, New Zealand and others. While it has not yet passed the United States FDA, many believe it is just a matter of time before this happens. The FDA requires various testing phases to be conducted and once all of these have been accomplished and it is submitted to them, they can determine their decision. In the past it was submitted to them and was denied, but this was several years ago and since then a lot of new tests have been preformed to show its effectiveness and safety as well as perhaps other countries adopting it may be influential in any future decision.
Side effects reported with Priligy / or generic dapoxetine tended to be mild to moderate and did not happen with everyone, but they did include headache, nausea, diarrhea and dizziness. There have also been warnings issued with this product such as not taking it with any other medication that has serotonergic effects and to avoid alcohol. But as usual, one should always talk with their doctor about any specific changes that should be known about for each person individually.
